The opening of AT60 - House of Austrian Economy in Brussels - from May 12 to 16, 2025, marked a significant milestone in enhancing the visibility and networking of Austrian businesses at the EU level. The new hub brings together the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and its partner organizations under one roof - with the goal of sustainably fostering exchange, positioning, and economic policy representation in Europe.
We oversaw the overall on-site coordination as well as the conception and implementation of major design, technical, and dramaturgical elements of the opening week.
The highlights included:
- an interactive dessert station featuring visual projections, developed together with the Vienna-based creative studio OMAi,
- an animated projection across the entire surface of the glass wall (approximately 8 x 2 meters) of the Boardroom,
- a mobile LED wall as a main protagonist during the main part of the opening,
- a musical live performance by loop violinist Matthias Jakisic,
- and an interactive exhibition space that encouraged exploration during the breaks between sessions – featuring attractions such as a VR hot air balloon journey across Austria.
In addition to the Executive Dinner and the ceremonial opening with around 180 guests – hosted by journalist Méabh Mc Mahon - we accompanied 15 thematic events and 8 high-level roundtables over 5 event days, with participation from around 30 CEOs, 7 specialized departments, and 5 divisions of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber.
With the AT60 Opening, we succeeded in showing how strategic content and creative staging create a coherent whole - a platform that showcases Austria's economic strength in Brussels.
